Staff Stories

From Negotiator to Branch Manager

After finishing 3 years at Uni, and working part-time at a storage company, I was unsure what my next step would be. I had seen a role advertised for a Lettings Negotiator and thought that showing people round houses couldn’t be too different to showing people round empty storage containers – so I decided to go for it!

I joined HOP as the Lettings Negotiator at our Pudsey office and immediately loved the culture here and the fact that no day was ever the same. After a few months, I started to take on more responsibility, such as listing properties and dealing with Landlords. 4 years down the line, the company expanded and opened its Horsforth branch and I was promoted to take over as the Lettings Manager in Pudsey.

My career at HOP didn’t stop there and with the support of the management team and further training, I was subsequently promoted again to Branch Manager. Having risen through the ranks since joining as a Negotiator straight out of Uni, these days I oversee the entire Pudsey branch and all the professional lets across Leeds and the surrounding areas. The role has its challenges, and the environment is always fast paced, but I’m surround by like-minded hard working people who make coming to work a joy.
