Ho-Ho-Holy Money!

Not everybody agrees with my high-street killing, Scrooge-like policy of hording pennies, especially Germany’s largest property funds manager, Deka. They are reportedly closing in on a deal to buy the landmark Victoria Quarter shopping centre, home of the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Harvey Nichols, Firetrap, and Louis Vuitton, in the heart of our beloved Leeds for around £125m. It’s expensive enough to buy something from one of these shops in this most stunning and elegant of shopping centres, quite something else to buy the shopping centre itself! Fröhliche Weihnachten!

These German’s are no spendthrifts, having made acquisitions in excess of £1bn this year, and get this, have a total of over €22bn AUM (assets under management). Id est, they are RICH!
