If you are moving in to one of our Luxury Student Studio Apartments at UNION, here's quick run down of things you might want to know.

UNION: Frequently Asked Questions

What time can I check in?

You will need to book your check in and induction directly with the UNION team.  Generally, check in can be arranged between 10am – 4pm, but alternative arrangements can be made by appointment.
 

What is included in my room?

All rooms at UNION come with the following as standard:
  • Storage double bed
  • Fridge
  • Hob
  • Kitchen
  • Luxury bathroom
  • Smart flatscreen TV
  • Built in wardrobe with enough space for additional luggage
  • Mirror and coat hooks
  • Desk with three drawers
  • Bookshelves
  • Kitchen bin
  • Large bathroom with large mirror
  • Bathroom bin
  • Desk chair
  • High quality sofa with two cushions
  • Two coffee tables
  • Additional dining chair
  • Fob key
  • Door viewer
  • Two wired internet sockets
  • Wifi
 

Is bedding, bathroom towels or kitchen utensils included with the room?

Bedding, bathroom towels and kitchen utensils are not included as standard in your room. You can purchase a starter pack, which includes all of this and more, ready for your arrival. This is particularly useful for students who will need to self-isolate when they arrive.
 

Is insurance included in my rent?

Yes. You have contents insurance through Endsleigh with an additional £1,000 of laptop cover. Click here for more details.
 

Is there an extra charge to use the gym and cinema?

No, this is included in your rent.
 

Is laundry included in my rent?

Smart laundry facilities are provided on site at a per-usage cost, which is accessible through an app.
 

Can I have guests over?

Due to Government guidelines regarding COVID-19, guests will be restricted until a review of the restrictions is announced.
 

What happens if there is a breakage or problem with my room?

You will need to report this to the team at UNION.
 

Can I smoke in my room?

No. You cannot smoke either in your room or anywhere inside UNION. As per UK Legislation, it is against the law to smoke indoors.
