Usually a Monday grinds out the most visitors, however this particular week Thursday was the most popular with 647 unique visitors. Each person visiting our site spent on average 4 minutes and 12 seconds on our site and looked at an average of 6 properties. In cementing Google’s foothold in search engine volumes, 94% of our audience found our site through google, with only 81 visitors searching using bing or yahoo. 34% of visitors knew exactly what they were searching for by typing ‘let leeds’ into google, with ‘letting agents leeds’ and ‘student housing leeds’ being the next most commonly searched phrase.
Social media and the use of iphones, ipads and androids is certainly on the up. 595 of last week’s visitors were referred to let-leeds.com through facebook, and 273 people read our facebook article 10 Things to remember when choosing next years Housemates.
13% of all our visitors used a mobile device such as an iPhone, iPad or android rather than a laptop or PC, 6% of all our potential tenants used an iphone compared to only 1% using a Blackberry.
The use of Browsers is changing rapidly, with Google Chrome now having taken over Internet Explorer in terms of users. From our 3233 unique visitors last week, 30% had used Google Chrome compared to 24% using Internet Explorer. Microsoft can still breathe a sigh of relief in the fact that 64% of users are still using Windows over 22% using a Mac.
10% of visitors used Virgin Media as their internet provider with 5% using sky and 2% using talk talk, others used work, college and university systems.
It’s certainly interesting to see the effect of the constantly changing and evolving internet and the way users behaviours and habits are changing. By looking at the way people use our site we can ensure we are evolving too.
