Italian food maestro Prezzo is ramping up its expansion plans, investing over £2m in the opening of four new restaurants this month, including its first foray into the vibrant Leeds restaurant scene, with a new site in The Light on Headrow. This will bring the group’s portfolio to an impressive 187, having started out with their first restaurant in London in 13 years ago.
Winner of the ‘Best Casual Dining’ award at the 2011 Menu Innovation and Development Awards, Prezzo offers pizzas in three different styles: Classic, Light (half pizza, half salad) or, for those with a greater appetite, the V.I.Pizza. Several other classic Italian menu options come in ‘lighter’ sub-800 calorie portions as well.
With already established Italian restaurants in Leeds, such as Bibi’s, Carluccio’s and Café Italia, the addition of Prezzo to the Leeds dining scene may not be breaking new ground, but an extra Italian option in the heart of the city centre can’t be a bad thing!
